On June 26th, the Ministry of Transport held a party meeting. The meeting emphasized the need to coordinate high-quality development and high-level safety, with a direction towards integration, safety enhancement, digitalization, and green transformation. It called for the construction of a modern transportation support system that is adapted to the needs of a strong transportation country, to provide support for the improvement of a modern comprehensive transportation system. The meeting also urged the acceleration of the formation of a green and low-carbon transportation system, promoting low-carbon alternatives in transportation energy, and accelerating the green transformation of transportation infrastructure. It called for the optimization and restructuring of transportation, to lay a solid foundation for building a strong transportation country and a beautiful China. Furthermore, the meeting stressed the need to accelerate the improvement of a modern comprehensive transportation service system, expanding the supply of high-quality passenger services, promoting cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement in transportation logistics, and advancing the digitalization upgrade of comprehensive transportation services to better support the smooth flow of people and goods. The meeting also called for the improvement of a comprehensive transportation standard system, accelerating the supply of high-quality standards, strengthening the implementation and application of standards, enhancing the internationalization of standards, and promoting the digital transformation of standards.
