According to the Zhitong Finance APP, it has been learned from informed sources that QatarEnergy has not yet indicated to Asian customers that it will extend the force majeure clause. The company usually notifies customers about a month before making a statement on an extension, strongly suggesting that it intends to let the clause expire officially in mid-July. Similar force majeure clauses covering European buyers are expected to expire in mid-August, and buyers also expect the clause to be lifted accordingly.
