On the 26th, the Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Ningbo and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Literature and Information Center jointly released the "MarineMat AI" marine key materials AI research assistant. This platform aims to use artificial intelligence technology to bridge the connection between literature, data, and knowledge, providing intelligent support for the research and development of marine key materials. According to the introduction, the research and development of marine key materials has long faced bottlenecks such as long research and development cycles and scattered literature information. The transition of a new material from the laboratory to engineering applications often takes several years, and a large number of existing research results are scattered in vast amounts of literature, making it difficult for researchers to search for specific background and performance parameters by sifting through numerous papers one by one.
