Luo Jie, Chairman of Tengyuan Cobalt Industry, stated at the meeting that besides the competition in computing power, the essence of competition in the AI industry is also the competition in key minerals and high-end new materials. Energy metals such as cobalt, nickel, lithium, and copper are the underlying foundation for the entire AI industry to be realized. She suggested that companies in the energy metal industry should increase research and development efforts in high-purity metals, green low-carbon smelting, and recycling technology to strengthen the domestic AI industry supply chain and ensure material independence and controllability.
