Today, reporters learned that in the first quarter of 2026, the national market supervision department adhered to a problem-oriented approach, strengthened the whole chain sampling, and completed food safety supervision sampling of 586,127 batches, with an overall non-conformity rate of 1.88%. In terms of food varieties, the non-conformity rates of grain processing products, edible oils and fats and their products, livestock and poultry meat and by-products, meat products, fresh eggs, and dairy products were 0.30%, 0.48%, 0.51%, 1.17%, 1.53%, and 0.08% respectively; the non-conformity rates of vegetables, fruits, and aquatic products were 4.05%, 5.28%, and 2.80% respectively. In terms of changes, the non-conformity rates of aquatic products, seafood, and fresh eggs and other 15 types of food have decreased compared to the same period last year, while the non-conformity rates of special dietary foods, beans, health foods, and other 24 types of food have increased compared to the same period last year.
