Henan: More than 50,000 units of guarantee rental housing will be added by 2030.

The General Office of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the People's Government of Henan Province recently issued the "Implementation Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of Cities", which proposes to improve the quality of urban housing. The plan emphasizes the responsibility of urban governments, implements policies tailored to different cities to control the increase in housing stock, reduce inventory, and optimize supply, focusing on stabilizing the real estate market and accelerating the establishment of a new development model for real estate. It implements the guidelines for the construction of "good houses", guiding each city to create 2-3 model "good houses" every year. It steadily promotes the transformation of urban villages and dilapidated houses, supports the autonomous renewal of old housing, original demolition and reconstruction, and aims to basically complete the transformation projects of urban villages supported by national special loans by 2028. It continues to advance the transformation of old urban areas built before 2005 with incomplete infrastructure. It promotes the use of purchased existing commercial housing for affordable housing, and aims to add more than 50,000 sets of affordable rental housing by 2030.
