ON Semiconductor (ON.US) is acquiring Synaptics (SYNA.US) in a $6.2 billion all-stock deal, with a 19% premium targeting smart systems.

According to the Securities Times APP, ON Semiconductor (ON.US) has agreed to acquire Synaptics (SYNA.US), which specializes in intelligent device semiconductors, in an all-stock transaction. The transaction values the latter at around 6.2 billion US dollars.
