On the same day, Jorge Rodriguez, President of the National Constituent Assembly of Venezuela, stated that as of 12:00 local time on the 25th, the strong earthquake had triggered 138 aftershocks, resulting in 188 deaths, 1520 injuries, 157 missing persons, and about 200 people trapped in rubble. In addition, at least 346 buildings have been damaged, including 8 hospitals, some of which have been evacuated.
