The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today announced the formal establishment of the "New Tin Technology City Limited" to fully promote the development of the 210-hectare innovation and technology land in New Tin Technology City. At the same time, with the approval of the Chief Executive, following the earlier appointment of Cheah Yee Chau as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of New Tin Technology City Company, the SAR Government also announced the appointment of six non-official members of the Board of Directors today for a term of three years, effective from July 1, 2026. Son Dong, Director of Innovation Technology and Industry Bureau, stated that the new innovation and technology land in New Tin, together with the He Nang Hong Kong Park, will form an important link for the coordinated development of upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, providing comprehensive support for the innovation and technology industry from research and development, prototype, pilot testing, production, to office space. With the explicit support of the national "15th Five-Year Plan" for Hong Kong to build an international innovation and technology center, and the future industrial layout of "South Finance, North Innovation and Technology" in Hong Kong, New Tin Technology City, as an indispensable key part of Hong Kong's innovation and technology development, will become a key stronghold for the future development of emerging technology industries in Hong Kong and an important base for the development of new productive forces.
