Pakistan launches anti-dumping investigation into soda ash originating from or imported from China.

On June 11, the National Tariff Commission of Pakistan issued a public notice (Case No. 75) stating that, in response to applications from Pakistani manufacturers Lucky Core Industries Limited and Olympia Chemical Limited, an anti-dumping investigation has been initiated on soda ash originating from or imported from China. The dumping investigation period is from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, and the injury investigation period is from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2026. The Pakistani tariff code for the products in question is 2836.2000. It is expected that a preliminary ruling will be made within 60 to 180 days from the date of filing.
