On June 25th, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment held its regular press conference for June, where the spokesperson Pei Xiaofei stated that at this year's "National Low Carbon Day" event, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment released the "Progress Report on the Establishment of Product Carbon Footprint Management System" and "Progress Report on China's Adaptation to Climate Change". The "Progress Report on the Establishment of Product Carbon Footprint Management System" systematically reviewed the progress of various departments and local practices since 2025. The report shows that China's product carbon footprint accounting standard system is becoming more perfect, issuing the "Guidelines for the Construction of Product Carbon Footprint Factor Database", and the work on product carbon footprint is progressing from accounting to application. The "Progress Report on China's Adaptation to Climate Change" shows that the global warming trend is still ongoing. China has experienced frequent regional and seasonal heatwaves, extreme precipitation, which has had a significant impact on natural ecosystems and economic and social systems. Faced with a complex and challenging situation, various regions and departments have effectively prevented and responded to the situation, promoting key efforts in adapting to climate change.
