A large wind power project undertaken by a Chinese company has started construction in Serbia.
A large wind power project constructed by a Chinese enterprise held a groundbreaking ceremony on the 24th in the northern Serbian city of Alibunar. Over a hundred people, including local government officials, representatives from companies and financial institutions, partners, and media personnel, attended the event. Alibunar Mayor Zorana Bradic stated in her speech that this wind power project is of great significance to the city of Alibunar. The completion of the project will directly promote local economic development and further enhance the stability of the power system. The Alibunar City government will continue to be a trustworthy partner for investors and provide necessary support for the smooth implementation of the project.
The company constructing the project, Sany Electric Co., Ltd., stated that they will use this project as an opportunity to continue to deepen their presence in the Serbian market and contribute to the green transformation of local energy and sustainable development of the economy and society. The Alibunar wind power project includes 40 wind turbines developed and manufactured independently by Sany Electric, with a total installed capacity of 168 megawatts. Once the project is completed and operational, it will directly connect to the Serbian national grid, with an expected annual electricity production of about 430 million kilowatt-hours, enough to meet the annual electricity needs of over 100,000 urban households.
