Since the beginning of this year, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport has hosted over 10 million inbound and outbound passengers.

Guangzhou Customs announced on the 24th that as of June 24 this year, the number of passengers entering and exiting Guangzhou Baiyun Airport through the customs supervision has exceeded 10 million, an increase of over 21% compared to the same period last year, setting a new record for the port. It is understood that since the beginning of this year, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport has added and increased 14 international passenger and cargo routes, with 13 routes connecting countries participating in the "Belt and Road" initiative. Currently, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport has over 100 international and regional destinations, and its international aviation hub connectivity continues to strengthen. "We are continuously promoting the construction of smart customs, utilizing advanced technologies such as early machine inspection and intelligent image analysis for seamless customs clearance for inbound passengers. By closely cooperating with multiple departments, we are achieving one-time customs clearance for outbound passengers," said Lu Fang, head of the Travel Inspection Department of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Customs. Since the beginning of this year, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Customs has supervised approximately 62,000 inbound and outbound aircraft movements at the port. The average daily number of passengers entering and exiting is 58,000, with a peak daily passenger flow of 68,000.
