On June 23, Fan Bo, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, held talks and exchanges with Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger in Taicang, and visited the Austrian-funded enterprise Ebner Industrial Furnaces Co., Ltd. Fan Bo welcomed Meinl-Reisinger's visit to Suzhou on behalf of the city committee and government. He said that Suzhou is an important central city in the eastern region of China that is currently focusing on "representing the future development direction". Suzhou is adapting to local conditions to develop new quality productive forces, continuously strengthen economic resilience, accelerate the construction of an internationalized and modernized people's city. This year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Austria. Suzhou has deep roots and close interactions with Austria, with nearly 50 Austrian companies deeply rooted and developing here. It is hoped that both sides will continue to deepen exchanges and interactions in various fields, further expand practical cooperation in areas such as intelligent manufacturing, digital economy, green and low-carbon, promote more Austrian companies and high-end projects to settle in Suzhou, and make new contributions to advancing Sino-Austrian relations to a new level. Suzhou will earnestly study and implement the spirit of the congratulatory messages exchanged between President Xi Jinping and Austrian President Van der Bellen on the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Austria, steadfastly expand high-level opening up to the outside world, and continuously create a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based and internationalized to provide comprehensive services and guarantees for the development of Austrian companies in Suzhou.
