Russian media: Russian oil companies should keep 30% of crude oil for processing domestically.
Russian business newspaper "Businessman" reported on Wednesday that Russia's largest oil company, Rosneft, has called on all Russian oil companies to retain at least thirty percent of their own produced crude oil and process it in domestic refineries. The report stated that against the backdrop of frequent attacks on Russian energy infrastructure in Ukraine and a crisis in domestic fuel supply, this influential figure in the Russian oil industry submitted this proposal to President Putin at the end of May. The report added that Putin has instructed Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, who is in charge of energy, to follow up on implementing the relevant proposals. On Tuesday, the deputy prime minister stated that Russia is considering imposing a ban on diesel exports, and there are also reports that Russia may plan to import refined oil products to alleviate the domestic fuel shortage issue.
