Cathay Pacific Airlines opened 0.8% higher in early trading, then the increase expanded to 3%. The company previously announced that passenger traffic in May increased by 17% compared to the same period last year. Cathay Pacific Airlines has fallen by 1.9% so far this year, while the Hang Seng Index has dropped by 8.8% during the same period.
