Zuckerberg talks about MetaAI smart glasses: We must strike a balance between fashion and functionality.
Mark Zuckerberg hopes that Meta's latest artificial intelligence glasses are not just an electronic device. For the Meta CEO, the challenge is not in cramming more artificial intelligence functions into the frame, but in creating glasses that people truly want to wear daily. In an interview with the creator of the information column "Feed Me," Emily Sandberg, Zuckerberg's speech was not like that of a Silicon Valley corporate executive, but rather more like a fashion designer. "I think in the future glasses will have a diverse product line, with various styles and distinctive functional configurations, and clear price ranges," Zuckerberg said, "but the core challenge is that each product must find a balance: good-looking appearance, comfortable to wear, and a reliable functional experience." "I am deeply involved in polishing all of the company's self-developed products," Zuckerberg added. On Tuesday local time, Meta launched a new series of smart glasses with a starting price of $299, lower than the entry-level Ray-Ban smart glasses, in an effort to enhance its wearable device lineup. This new product was developed in collaboration with the eyewear giant EssilorLuxottica, but will not feature the Ray-Ban or Oakley brand logos.
