Insiders said that after Powell was appointed as the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, the selection process for the next President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta has been restarted. The Federal Reserve had considered appointing former Deputy Finance Minister Volcker to the position, but the progress of his current appointment is still unknown.
