According to industry sources on Tuesday, Samsung Electronics' sales of the sixth-generation high-bandwidth memory chip HBM4 have surpassed $1 billion. Just four months ago, the South Korean tech giant became the world's first company to start mass-producing and shipping HBM4 chips in February this year. Industry insiders expect Samsung's HBM4 chip sales to exceed $1.2 billion by the end of June.
