Residential rent in first-tier cities continues to rise.

The rental housing market in first-tier cities is undergoing continuous repair. Data from the China Index Research Institute shows that since the peak rental season started in March 2026, residential rents in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen have increased for three consecutive months. From January to May of this year, the average rent for residential properties in first-tier cities has cumulatively increased by 0.21%.
