India continues to impose anti-dumping duties on polyethylene terephthalate resin originating from or imported from China.
According to the China Trade Remedy Information Network, on June 19, the Indian Department of Revenue Tax department issued Notification No. 12/2026-Customs, accepting the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India's first sunset review final ruling on the anti-dumping duties imposed on polyethylene terephthalate resin with an intrinsic viscosity of 0.72 decilitres per gram or higher originating from or imported from China, which was conducted on March 20, 2026. It was decided to continue imposing anti-dumping duties on the products concerned from China for a period of 5 years, with a duty rate of $200.66 per ton. The products involved are bottle grade PET resin, excluding recycled PET resin. This case involves products under Indian customs codes 39076110, 39076190, 39076930, and 39076990. The measures shall take effect from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette.
