According to the WiseFinance app, the latest "Link REIT Confidence Index" reflecting the attitude of owners in listing their properties is 78.8 points, a weekly decrease of 0.6%, marking a third consecutive week of decline. Analyst Chan Sung-him of Link REIT pointed out that the recent fluctuations in the Hang Seng Index have put pressure on the market sentiment. There has been a slight increase in discounted listings, leading to a decrease in confidence index. However, the index remains above average, indicating that owners are still optimistic about future prospects. The US interest rate remains unchanged as expected by the market, but the dot plot shows an increasing expectation of interest rate hikes, which will be reflected in the confidence index to be announced later and will impact the Hong Kong property market.
