New Zealand's milk production increased by 4.5% in the 2025-26 fiscal year, reaching a record high.
According to the data released on the website of the New Zealand Dairy Companies Association, the milk production in New Zealand reached a record high in the 2025-26 season as of May 31st. The total production for the 12 months ending on May 31st was 2.027 billion kilograms, an increase of approximately 87.6 million kilograms, or 4.5% compared to the previous year. The total amount of milk solids collected for processing in May was 109 million kilograms, an increase of 5% compared to the same period last year.
