The scale of assets under management of public funds has reached a new high, with only a step away from reaching 40 trillion yuan. According to data from the China Securities Investment Fund Industry Association, as of the end of May 2026, there were a total of 165 domestic public fund management institutions, including 150 fund management companies and 15 asset management institutions with public offering qualifications. The total net asset value managed by these institutions for public funds reached 39.48 trillion yuan, an increase of 1227.54 billion yuan from the end of April, setting a new historical record.
