The 28th Shanghai International Film Festival was successfully held from June 12 to 21, with the "ticket economy" remaining strong. As of June 19, the number of people attending the film festival exceeded 450,000, with new audiences accounting for 27.08% of the total. The box office revenue was close to 38 million RMB. Preliminary estimates show that this year's film festival has brought economic benefits to other industries such as transportation, accommodation, catering, tourism, and retail, exceeding 5.295 billion RMB, an increase of 5.97% compared to the previous year. Among them, the catering industry is about 1.17 billion RMB, the accommodation industry is about 3.66 billion RMB, transportation is about 1.81 billion RMB, tourism is about 1.07 billion RMB, shopping expenditures are about 30.12 billion RMB, leisure and entertainment are about 4.58 billion RMB. The income from transportation, tourism, and accommodation all saw significant growth.
