On World ALS Day on June 21st, Cai Lei delivered a keynote speech titled "Countdown". He has been suffering from ALS for over six years, with only his eyeballs being able to move. In this speech, he insisted on appearing in person, using AI technology to restore his own voice, and completing his "declaration of war" against ALS. In the short film, Cai Lei transforms into a "hero," firmly stating, "I can already hear the countdown to the final victory." He looks forward to more people joining forces and standing shoulder to shoulder in the battle against ALS. Cai Lei said that there are four clocks in his room, and no matter which direction he faces, he can always hear the clear ticking sound. This is the countdown he is giving to ALS.
