NetEase Cloud Music responded that its AI emotional companion app MeowTime will be discontinued: it is a business adjustment.
Recently, NetEase Cloud Music's AI emotional companion app "Miaoshi" announced that it will officially cease operations on July 14th. According to the announcement, the "Miaoshi" platform has already stopped new user registrations, recharges, and membership purchases. After the shutdown, "Miaoshi" will completely close all functions. Users can apply for refunds for any remaining Miaoshi coins, cookie coins, electromagnetic waves, and membership fees in their accounts by August 14th via email. Public information shows that "Miaoshi" was launched in December 2022, and was initially seen by the market as NetEase Cloud Music's foray into the social networking arena. Formerly known as "MUS", it was later renamed Miaoshi and its main feature was providing a "highly immersive, ultra-realistic AI emotional companion" experience. It not only supported online chatting and dynamic sharing, but also organized or recommended offline activities in the same city, such as Livehouse and music festivals. Regarding the reason for the shutdown, on June 21st, media learned from NetEase Cloud Music customer service that the shutdown of "Miaoshi" was due to business adjustments.
