In order to further regulate the bidding and tendering market for engineering construction projects and crack down on illegal and irregular practices in bidding and tendering, the Chongqing Development and Reform Commission recently announced 7 typical cases of illegal and irregular practices in the bidding and tendering of engineering construction projects in the city. These cases include bidders falsifying bids and colluding in bids, as well as winning bidders subcontracting and evaluation experts not evaluating bids according to regulations. According to the announcement on June 21st by The Paper, 12 evaluation experts did not evaluate bids according to regulations, and as a result of their misconduct, they were each penalized 6 points and suspended from evaluation for 6 months.
