Multiple ferry crossings suspended, Guangxi Maritime Bureau has elevated the emergency response for flood prevention in inland rivers to level III.

At 19:30 on June 20, the Guangxi Hydrological Center upgraded and issued a yellow flood warning. It is expected that in the next 24 hours, the Liujang River will experience a moderate flood. The river section in the city of Liuzhou, Guangxi, will experience a flood with water levels exceeding the alert level. The Guangxi Maritime Bureau raised the inland flood control emergency response to level III at 20:30. As of 20:30 on the 20th, 68 ferry crossings and 107 ferry boats in the Guangxi inland area were suspended and controlled; water bus and night cruise routes in Liuzhou were suspended; and all rafting on the Li River in Guilin was suspended. Over the next three days, Guangxi will continue to experience heavy rainfall. The meteorological department predicts that from the 21st to the 22nd, some areas in the northern part of Guangxi will have moderate to heavy rain, locally accompanied by heavy rain and short-term thunderstorms and strong convective weather.
