France issues a red weather alert for high temperatures, music festivals completely prohibit drinking alcohol.

The French government announced on Saturday that starting at noon on Sunday, red heatwave alerts will be activated in various administrative regions. During the annual summer solstice music festival held on June 21st, alcohol consumption will be completely banned. After holding a crisis working meeting, French Prime Minister LeCorneau's office issued a statement saying, "Provincial governors will issue decrees banning alcohol consumption in public places within the areas covered by the red heatwave alert." The statement added, "Instructions have been given to prohibit the supply of alcohol at all events organized by the state and its affiliated institutions." The French meteorological agency issued a latest weather report on Saturday, announcing that 35 provinces including Paris will trigger red heatwave alerts on Sunday, stating, "A large area of the country will experience prolonged extreme heatwave conditions."
