The Afghan Ministry of Defense announced on the 19th that the Afghan Air Force conducted airstrikes overnight on multiple hideouts used by the extremist organization "Islamic State Khorasan Province" located in neighboring Pakistan. The Pakistani side denied this on the same day. The Afghan Ministry of Defense released a statement on social media that day, saying that all pre-planned high-value targets were hit in this operation, located in Pakistan's Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. These locations were "used to plan and coordinate attacks against Afghanistan." The Pakistani Ministry of Information and Broadcasting released a statement on the 19th denying this. The statement said that a drone from Afghanistan invaded Pakistani airspace in the Khyber region, and was identified and immediately shot down by the Pakistani Air Force's alert defense system. The statement also said that the camps of the extremist organization "Islamic State" and several terrorist organizations are actually located within Afghan government-controlled areas, and are funded and operated by individuals within the Afghan government.
