On June 18, the cadre meeting of Shanghai Press Group was held, announcing the decision of the Municipal Party Committee on the appointment and removal of cadres. The Municipal Party Committee decided: Comrade Hu Minghua is appointed as the Secretary of the Communist Party of China Shanghai Press Group Committee and President of Shanghai Press Group, and relieved of his position as General Manager of Shanghai Press Group; Comrade Miao Kegou is appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of China Shanghai Press Group Committee, Secretary of the Communist Party of China Liberation Daily Committee, and President of Liberation Daily, and relieved of his positions as Secretary of the Communist Party of China Wen Hui Bao Committee and President of Wen Hui Bao; Comrade Chen Songqing is relieved of his positions as the Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of China Shanghai Press Group Committee, Secretary of the Communist Party of China Liberation Daily Committee, and President of Liberation Daily.
