According to the Securities Times APP, on June 18th, the general offices (comprehensive departments) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and four other departments released a notice regarding the implementation of the "2026 New Energy Vehicles Going to the Countryside" activity. It mentioned the deepening of the exchange of old vehicles for new ones in rural areas. In the activity of new energy vehicles going to the countryside, a special area for exchanging old vehicles for new ones will be set up, promoting subsidy policies, providing services such as old car inspection, evaluation, recycling, and subsidy application assistance in a "one-stop" manner, further increasing awareness and coverage of preferential policies, and facilitating rural consumers to participate and enjoy subsidies. Rural consumers who purchase new energy vehicles can apply for subsidies to exchange old vehicles according to policy requirements, without being limited by the quantity of subsidy eligibility. The organization of new energy vehicle sales outlets, after-sales maintenance service enterprises, electric filling service enterprises, insurance, credit, and other financial service enterprises to go to the countryside together, continuously optimizing the supporting environment for the application of new energy vehicles in rural areas and improving service levels. Promoting the application of intelligent network technology, new charging and discharging technology, "light storage and charging" integration, and vehicle network interaction technology in rural areas.
