Today, the world's largest inland ship lock - the Three Gorges Double-line Five-level Ship Lock, celebrates its 23rd anniversary of navigation. According to statistics from the Yangtze River Three Gorges Navigation Administration, since June 18, 2003, when it officially opened to social ships, the Three Gorges Ship Lock has had a total of 225,000 lockages, accommodated over 1.111 million ships, transported more than 12.327 million passengers, and handled a total cargo volume of 2.40 billion tons.
