Today, the National Development and Reform Commission held a press conference to introduce the market-oriented trading of power transmission rights in the cloud and sky, marking the first time that China has conducted power transmission rights trading, further facilitating the national electricity circulation. Li Chao, the spokesperson for the National Development and Reform Commission, explained that power transmission rights are the rights to transmit electricity through specific power transmission channels in specific time periods, directions, and capacities. With the national unified electricity market system becoming increasingly perfect, cross-provincial and cross-regional power transactions, as well as transmission scales, continue to increase, making power transmission rights a scarce resource. The exploration of market-oriented trading of power transmission rights aims to promote the better utilization of power transmission channels through market mechanisms, further facilitating the national electricity circulation.
