In the first five months of this year, Xiamen's trade with BRICS countries exceeded 87 billion yuan.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the BRICS cooperation mechanism. As the location of the BRICS Innovation Base, Xiamen, Fujian province, continues to deepen its economic and trade network with BRICS countries, and economic and trade cooperation with BRICS countries is deepening and becoming more solid. According to statistics from Xiamen Customs, from January to May this year, Xiamen's imports and exports to BRICS countries totaled 87.436 billion yuan, an increase of 29.98% year-on-year. Among them, exports were 28.154 billion yuan, an increase of 9.93% year-on-year, and imports were 59.282 billion yuan, an increase of 42.3% year-on-year.
