Our country's first market-based transaction of transmission rights has been achieved.
Recently, it was learned from the Southern Power Grid that the power transmission rights trading agreement has been reached for the Yunxiao HVDC transmission corridor, marking the first market-oriented power transmission right transaction in China. The transaction was jointly organized by the Guangzhou Power Exchange Center and the Beijing Power Exchange Center, with participation from 113 power market entities from Anhui and Guangdong. A total of 21.16 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were traded, and this electricity will be sent from Anhui to Guangdong from June 21 to June 30 to meet the energy needs of the advanced manufacturing industry park and high-tech enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Starting from June 1, 2026, China will conduct market-oriented power transmission rights trading at the Yunxiao HVDC transmission corridor in Yunxiao County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. Power transmission rights are like "passports" for power transmission corridors, allowing both parties in power transactions to efficiently use the transmission corridor and further optimize the allocation of power resources nationwide.
