By the end of the day's trading, the price of light crude oil futures for July delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose by 74 cents to close at $76.79 per barrel, up 0.97%; meanwhile, the price of Brent crude oil futures for August delivery on the London Mercantile Exchange rose by 59 cents to close at $79.55 per barrel, up 0.75%.
