A traffic accident occurred in the province of Huancayo in central Peru on the evening of the 16th, resulting in at least 11 deaths and 19 injuries. An interprovincial bus traveling from the province of Huanuco in the east of the country to the capital Lima lost control and overturned on the road in the Emiliano Baldissan area of Huancayo province. After the incident, rescue personnel rushed to the scene to transport the injured, and the police launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
