The Group of Seven leaders agreed to increase sanctions on Russia in the oil and gas sector.

The official statement of the Group of Seven (G7) shows that the G7 leaders have reached a consensus to increase sanctions against Russia, covering the oil and natural gas industries. They have also agreed to provide Ukraine with additional air defense equipment, intercept systems, and long-range strike weapons. The G7 is prepared to consider opening relevant licensing permissions to Ukraine to help expand its domestic defense industry capacity. The G7 leaders strongly support reaching a strong, comprehensive follow-up diplomatic agreement on the basis of the Iran nuclear deal memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran. All parties reaffirm that Iran will never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.
