United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees: Nearly 2.4 million refugees will need resettlement globally by 2027.

The United Nations Refugee Agency released a report on the 16th saying that by 2027, nearly 2.4 million refugees worldwide will be in urgent need of resettlement. The "Global Resettlement Needs Forecast Report for 2027" covers two types of refugees: those who cannot safely return to their country of origin, and those who do not have their personal safety guaranteed in the host country, or have difficulty receiving adequate assistance.
