Wu Qing: Major reforms and opening-up measures in areas such as equity and bond financing are being piloted in Shanghai.

On June 17th, at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Lujiazui Forum, Wu Qing, Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, stated that he supports Shanghai in creating a financial innovation "experimental field", and promoting major reform and opening measures in areas such as equity and bond financing, mergers and acquisitions, institutional development, and offshore finance to be piloted in Shanghai first.
