The National Anti-Drug Office introduces the situation of Sino-American anti-drug cooperation.

This morning, the National Narcotics Control Commission held a press conference. Wei Xiaojun, Executive Deputy Director of the National Narcotics Control Commission and Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, introduced the cooperation between China and the United States in drug control and the outlook for future cooperation. Firstly, the two sides have conducted a lot of institutional exchanges and practical cooperation. We maintain contact and communication with policy departments such as the White House National Drug Control Policy Office in the United States, regularly inform each other of progress, and discuss priorities for future cooperation; we have collaborated with law enforcement agencies such as the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the United States to jointly investigate multiple cases and cooperate in repatriating drug-related fugitives, the specific situation has already been released to the public. Secondly, in order to actively cooperate in dealing with the problem of uncontrolled chemical substances entering North America's drug production channels, in November 2025, the Ministry of Commerce and five other ministries jointly issued a notice, adding 13 fentanyl precursor chemicals to the "Controlled Chemical Export List to Specific Countries" for the United States, Mexico, and Canada respectively," in May this year, three more fentanyl precursor chemicals were added for the aforementioned three countries; in November 2025 and May of this year, the National Narcotics Control Commission issued warning notices twice in a row, reminding relevant companies and individuals to strictly abide by relevant national laws and regulations when engaging in related business activities, prevent precursor chemicals and equipment from entering drug production channels; Customs authorities have strengthened supervision and risk analysis of related types of chemicals for export, reminding export enterprises to identify customers and prevent risks; the postal authorities urge courier companies to strictly implement the "real-name collection and delivery, collection and delivery inspection, machine inspection" system, continue to carry out publicity and education, and effectively enhance the awareness of postal industry practitioners on preventing sensitive chemicals. Thirdly, in response to the situation where a few domestic illegal individuals smuggle controlled or uncontrolled precursor chemicals and new psychoactive substances to other countries, multiple rounds of special actions have been deployed nationwide to crack down and control, and overall strengthen case investigation. In December of last year, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation also hosted the national chemical industry's "Clear Internet Space, Build a Drug Control Line" initiative, effectively enhancing industry self-discipline and achieving good results.
