According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, summer grain is the first season of grain production. According to the agricultural situation, the main summer grain producing provinces have seized good weather to speed up harvest. Over 90% of the summer grain has been harvested nationwide, with the majority already on the ground. In terms of area, in response to the continuous rainy weather last autumn, the main producing areas have actively implemented anti-moisture sowing and late sowing contingency techniques, basically ensuring that all planned areas have been sown, stabilizing the summer grain area and laying a solid production foundation. In terms of yield, the main producing areas have carefully managed fertilizer and water supply, promoting the transformation and upgrading of weak seedlings; implemented large-scale yield improvement measures such as suppression and hilling, "one spray three prevention", and disease and pest control, matched with appropriate warmth and water, with significant increases in the number of wheat ears per mu, laying the foundation for yield improvement, especially in the over 70 million mu of dryland wheat, where yields have significantly increased compared to last year. During the "Three Summers" period this year, over 17 million agricultural machinery have been put into operation nationwide, including over 800,000 combine harvesters and over 200,000 machines involved in cross-regional operations. Additionally, over 280,000 track combines and over 70,000 drying machines have been deployed for emergency harvesting and drying. Provinces where wheat is harvested have set up over 3,100 cross-regional operation service stations, over 5,500 agricultural machinery green channels on highways, and over 1,300 24-hour agricultural machinery service hotlines at the provincial, municipal, and county levels, ensuring that "when the machines arrive, there are people to receive them, and when difficulties arise, there are people to address them". Overall, this year's summer grain area has remained stable, with the potential for yield improvement and a clear outlook on production, ensuring a good harvest.
