Since the beginning of this year, the overall national fire safety situation has been stable, with no major or above-magnitude fire accidents occurring.
This morning, the National Fire Rescue Bureau held a routine press conference to report on the recent fire safety situation and the key work of fire rescue. At the press conference, officials introduced that the overall national fire safety situation has been stable this year. As of June 14, a total of 452,000 fires were reported nationwide, resulting in 886 deaths. Compared with the same period last year, the number of fires and deaths decreased by 17.8% and 14.8% respectively. There were 20 major fire accidents, a 41.2% decrease compared to the previous year, and no major or particularly major fire accidents occurred. The national fire rescue teams dispatched a total of 11,996,000 firefighting and rescue personnel and 2,193,000 firefighting vehicles, rescuing 88,000 people trapped and evacuating 35,000 people in danger.
