Crack down on illegal internet advertising activities, the State Administration for Market Regulation has launched a systematic governance plan.

Today, it was learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that China's Internet advertising industry is developing rapidly, forming a complex ecosystem driven by data and empowered by technology. However, old problems such as light creativity and heavy hype in Internet advertising still exist, and new problems such as the abuse of artificial intelligence and excessive pursuit of traffic are becoming more prominent. It is urgently needed to comprehensively govern the Internet advertising ecosystem from a deepening perspective. In response to this, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued a notice on deepening the governance of the Internet advertising ecosystem, proposing for the first time the innovative concept of "Internet advertising ecosystem governance". It systematically deploys governance tasks in five areas, such as improving the regulatory system, strengthening the responsibility of platform entities, enhancing supervision in key areas, improving monitoring technology and enforcement capabilities, and strengthening value-oriented guidance, to provide clear direction for advancing the governance of the Internet advertising ecosystem.
