On the 15th, Vice President Vance said in an interview with the media that one of the agreements reached between the United States and Iran is that nuclear inspectors will be allowed to return to Iran. Vance said in an interview with NBC that day: "Absolutely." He added, "One of the core contents of the agreement is that the International Atomic Energy Agency, assisted by the United States, will help Iran destroy its highly enriched uranium stockpile, which is stipulated in the memorandum of understanding." He said that the text of the cease-fire memorandum between the US and Iran will be officially signed in Geneva, Switzerland, on the 19th and made public. When asked why it could not be made public in advance, he said, "There are still some technical details that need to be worked out, but this is not related to the text of the memorandum, but to the specific implementation." Vance revealed that the start date of nuclear inspections may also be determined on the 19th. He said that since there is not much disagreement among all parties on this specific issue, nuclear inspections should start soon. He also stressed that Iran must take necessary measures, make long-term commitments, and never develop nuclear weapons. In addition, the reopening and free passage of the Strait of Hormuz are seen as key to the US-Iran agreement. Vance said, "The agreement stipulates that within 60 days of the final agreement reached through negotiations between the two sides, all ships can enter and exit the Strait of Hormuz for free."
