Chongqing Municipal Economic Information Committee Holds Symposium for Waste Power Battery Recycling and Utilization Enterprises

According to "Chongqing Manufacturing", recently, the Chongqing Municipal Economic and Information Commission organized a symposium for enterprises involved in the recycling and utilization of waste power batteries. The meeting reported on the city's joint law enforcement sampling of waste power battery recycling and utilization at the municipal level, listened to opinions and suggestions from 16 participating enterprises in six categories including power battery production, new energy vehicle production, battery swapping services, comprehensive utilization, new energy vehicle maintenance, and recycling and dismantling, and deployed key tasks for the next stage. The meeting emphasized the need to strengthen departmental coordination and city-district linkage, benchmark national regulatory requirements, target key issues for targeted measures, and promote the construction of an effective governance system for the entire chain of recycling and utilization through the joint efforts of government and enterprises. It also called for the strengthening of information tracing, the initiation of data reporting and updating work on the national new energy vehicle power battery traceability information platform, strict implementation of the power battery digital identification management system, standardization of disposal, rational layout of recycling service outlets, timely and dynamically updated relevant information, resolute prevention of illegal reuse, continuous strengthening of recycling, and ensuring compliance in the disposal of waste batteries. Furthermore, it emphasized the need to strengthen law enforcement deterrence, adhere to a combination of law enforcement and regulatory measures, implement list management and clearance of issues found in this round of sampling, and regulate the order of waste power battery recycling and utilization.
