On June 15, local time, according to the report by the National Broadcasting Company of the United States, Vice President Pence stated in an interview that as part of the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding, inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency "will definitely return to Iran." Pence said that the Memorandum of Understanding clearly stipulates that the International Atomic Energy Agency and the United States will "assist Iran in destroying its high-enriched uranium stockpile," which is "a very clear part of the agreement." Pence also stated that this framework document reached between the US and Iran will be officially announced after the signing ceremony, which will take place in Switzerland this Friday. The start date of the inspections may also be determined on Friday. When asked why the full text of the memorandum is not yet public, Pence said that some technical details related to implementation still need to be finalized, but it does not concern the text of the memorandum itself. He also emphasized that if Iran fulfills its commitments, "it will receive corresponding benefits."
