The London Metal Exchange has approved Detroit in the United States as a "good delivery point" for copper, thereby expanding the network of locations where the metal can be stored and delivered for LME contracts. On June 15, the London Metal Exchange announced that after the first warehouse company was approved to store copper locally, Detroit will officially become a copper delivery point three months later.
